OAuth Sign-In (Google & Facebook)

If you choose to sign in with Google or Facebook, we request only the minimum information required to create or link your Careergo account—typically your verified email address and public profile name. We do not receive your password for these services, we do not post to your social accounts, and we do not request unnecessary permissions. If an email address is not returned (for example, if you declined the email permission), we may ask you to provide one manually.

The authentication providers independently process your sign‑in. Their collection and use of data is governed by their respective privacy policies. After successful authentication we store a standard access token/session reference in our system—never your third‑party credentials.

You can revoke Careergo's access at any time via your Google or Facebook account security settings; revoking access will prevent future sign‑ins with that provider until reauthorized.

Google Drive Integration

When you use our "Save to Cloud" feature, we request access to Google Drive using the drive.file scope. This scope only allows Careergo to access files that it creates—we cannot see, read, or modify any other files in your Google Drive.

What we do:

• Create a "Careergo" folder in your Google Drive (if it doesn't already exist)
• Save your resume documents (PDF and Word formats) to this folder
• Provide you with direct links to access your saved files

What we do NOT do:

• Access any existing files in your Google Drive
• Store your Google Drive files on our servers
• Share your Google Drive data with third parties
• Retain access tokens beyond your active session

Your Google Drive access token is used only during the save operation and is not stored on our servers. Each time you use the "Save to Cloud" feature, you will be asked to reauthorize access.

You can revoke Careergo's access to Google Drive at any time through your Google Account permissions settings.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Careergo's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
